Context mods make the session’s working window easier to observe. Long conversations, large files, and tool results can make it difficult to judge how much room remains. A visible usage indicator puts that information beside your prompt, where you can use it while deciding what to ask next.

Choosing a Context mod

Choose a context mod when you want session visibility. Check whether its readings represent current usage or a history of turns, and whether that history resets between sessions. A usage display does not by itself summarize your conversation or increase the model’s context limit.
